About Us
The American Legion Post 10 Color Guard proudly supports a wide range of events within the Legion and throughout the Manassas and Manassas Park communities. Our team is dedicated to honoring veterans and promoting patriotism through precision drill and ceremony.
Community Involvement
We actively participate in various community events, including:
Parades: We are a regular presence at Manassas City parades, showcasing our respect for our nation’s colors and traditions.
Veteran Interments: We provide dignified services for veteran interments, including the playing of Taps and Amazing Grace, and the posting of appropriate service colors.
Wreath Placements: Each year, we arrange for the placement of holiday wreaths on every veteran’s grave in Manassas City Cemetery, ensuring that their sacrifices are remembered and honored.
Collaborations: We often work with local Scouts and Young Marines, fostering a sense of community and service among young people. The Scouts and Young Marines take an active part in respectful and dignified flag retirements that take place on Flag Day each year. We encourage the public to attend this ceremony.
