The Osbourne Park NJROTC receives a nominal monetary contribution from Post 10 but our primary interaction with the unit is through the volunteer hours provided by our liaison officer, Second Vice Commander Linda Myers, who helps with the yearly hosted military competition and is the Mentor for the Cadet’s CyberPatriot competition teams.
This year, the OP NJROTC assisted Post 10 during our Post Everlasting Ceremony by performing the color guard opening presentation, a formal flag folding presentation, and an “Old Glory” presentation.

Drug Demand Reduction (DDR Dash) 5K –
“Honoring “Enrique “Kiki” Camarena was a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agent, who lost his life in the effort to keep harmful drugs off the streets of America. In commemoration of Kiki’s sacrifice, and in acknowledgment of the thousands of agents and officers just like him who strive to make our world a safer place, the Young Marines run the Drug Demand Reduction (DDR Dash) 5K as part of our national Red Ribbon Week efforts.“
Manassas Young Marines had a blast at the annual DDR Dash! Congratulations to all the kids as well as our own Chaz Salyers for winning 1st place for male YMs and Olivia Medina in 1st Place for female YMs. After the race everyone gathered for a beautiful Honor Walk for our Vietnam Vets and rallied for some push-ups. Thank you Young Marines for another amazing event.
